Common Counseling Questions
Got Questions?
Below you will find the answers to the questions I get asked the most. If you don’t find the answers you are looking for, please contact me.
How long does counseling take?
It depends because counseling is a process. Everyone is an individual and each person has different needs. You and I will make a plan, and this can be changed at any time. We will work collaboratively each session to discuss the plans for the next session.
Can I see you for personal counseling as well as career counseling?
Yes, many of my clients like to do that since I have specialties in both areas. I will offer you a free fifteen minute initial phone call to discuss your needs.
How much do you charge?
Fees vary according to the type of service you select such as individual counseling (career or personal) and assessment tools such as the MBTI, Self-Directed Search, and Skill Scan. Please contact me to discuss
Do you accept insurance?
While I don’t accept insurance, I am happy to provide you with an invoice which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement for personal counseling. Career counseling is not reimbursable by most insurance companies.
How do I pay for services?
Payment is required at each counseling session either by personal check, credit card or by cash.
Do you take credit cards?
Yes.
Are you close to a metro stop?
Yes, take the red line, and exit at the Bethesda stop. I am within walking distance.
Is there parking close by?
On-street metered parking is available and there are nearby parking garages.
